On Sunday September 25, 2016 Covenant Community Church held its final service as a faith community. The three years of ministry God allowed us to experience were fruitful and we thank the community for the support and love we received. In three years we witnessed 40 people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, we ministered in our community, built bridges of racial healing and reconciliation with other congregations in Haymarket, took young people on two international mission trips, fed the homeless, and engaged in many other acts of service.
We rejoice and thank God for His faithfulness as we tried to be His witnesses. Ecclesiastes chapter 3 declares: “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the sun…a time to plant and a time to uproot…, a time tear down and a time to build.”
For three years we enjoyed a season of planting and building and we did our best to be responsive to the call of God in that season. But now we find ourselves in a different season; a season of planting seeds in new vineyards that will nourish and sustain other communities. To God be the glory for the great things God has done!
Going forward, this website will serve as a virtual community where we can share inspiring and encouraging stories, pray for one another and continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you have prayer requests please email them to 3camechurch@gmail.com.
